"This is Edison’s 1929 re-creation of the first recorded sound
he made on a tinfoil cylinder in 1877. Edison’s remake of the
historic recording presumably uses the same equipment that he used in 1877. A number of
photographs of Edison posing with his various “talking machines” accompany this audio
recording."
